Roles and Responsibilities

· To ensure the quality of incoming material and confirm that the raw material received meet with the standards prescribed by the Company.

· To coordinate with production section for corrective measures on non-conformances observed during the inspection and testing

· To ensure that the quality of product produced and dispatched are as per statutory and contractual requirements to meet customers satisfactions.

· To ensure sanitation and hygiene inspection and bacteriological examination of production area, lines, equipments, stores and testing area

· To arrange timely calibration of measuring and test equipment of Laboratory.

· To ensure steady flow of raw material to the plant.

· To ensure that the quality of the products in process is upto the standards or norms.

· To ensure testing of raw material, packaging material, potable water used in processing.

· To ensure that the premises of Q.C. laboratory are always kept in hygienic and presentable condition.

· Helps plan and prepare for plant audits.

· Assures compliance to company quality standards.

· Leads root cause investigations into quality issues, with corrective and preventive actions.

· Supports implementation of quality procedures.

· Monitors the quality throughout the supply chain from supplier to production to customer.

· Implements internal audit process to track compliance to the quality management system.

· Supports production facilities with their quality improvement process by giving constant feedback based on guest feedback.

· Takes leadership and ownership of quality, relative to production and food product safety.

Desired Candidate Profile

· B. Tech (Food Technology), M Tech/ M.Sc. (Food Tech)/Diploma(Food Tech)

· Knowledge of HACCP

· Knowledge of ISO 22000, BRC, etc

Other Skills

· Detail and quality-oriented.

· Flexible with the proactive thought process, show initiative, and respond quickly when situations change.

· Must be well-versed with applicable regulatory requirements i.e FSSAI.

· Excellent Knowledge of food microbiology, test methods, interpretation of microbiology results.

. Able to work in flexible shift (Day and Night)
